Jarred Marinara Sauce (Pomodoro Fresco): what TilliT checked so far, below
A person is still reviewing one claim on this page — marked “review pending” below. The other claims are final.
Status as assessed Oct 7, 2026. This link always opens the latest result.
Everything the product page claims — including claims TilliT does not verify. TilliT assesses six badge types; anything else is listed here so you can see the full picture and check it yourself.
TilliT ran a full public-evidence check on this claim — see the badge-by-badge section above for what it found.
Organic
See the Organic result above.
Vegan
See the Vegan result above.
Gluten-Free
See the Gluten-Free result above.
Egg-free
See the Allergen-Free result above.
A "free-from" label is the maker's statement, not an allergy certification, and it does not guarantee against cross-contact. If a reaction would be serious, always read the product's current allergen statement and "may contain" line on the package itself.
This is a real certification or claim type, but TilliT doesn't verify it yet. It is shown here so you know the product makes the claim — not as a judgement either way. Check it yourself using the note next to each one.
Lactose-free
On the page: “Product Weight: 25.25 oz. E Egg Free L Lactose Free P Peanut Free S Soy Free TN Tree Nut”
What it means: The product is stated to contain little or no lactose (the sugar in milk).
Why TilliT doesn't verify it: There is no single independent "lactose-free" certifier for food in the US, and lactose content isn't something TilliT verifies from public data yet.
How to check it yourself: Read the ingredient list and the nutrition panel. Some products state a lactose figure in grams.
Lactose-free is NOT the same as milk-free or dairy-free. A lactose-free product can still contain milk protein and is not safe for a milk allergy. If you have a milk allergy, use the product's allergen statement, not this claim.
Vegetarian
On the page: “All natural. Gluten-free. Vegan/Vegetarian. Kitchen and Usage Tips: Pomodoro”
What it means: The product contains no meat, poultry or fish (but may contain dairy or egg).
Why TilliT doesn't verify it: TilliT checks Vegan claims (see the badge section), but not the broader Vegetarian claim, which allows dairy and egg. Vegetarian certification bodies exist (e.g. the Vegetarian Society) that TilliT doesn't check yet.
How to check it yourself: Read the ingredient list for dairy and egg. Look for a vegetarian-society trademark if one is shown.
These are marketing or nutrition-label descriptions rather than independently certified claims, so they aren't something TilliT verifies.
All Natural / Natural
On the page: “serve marinara sauce ready in minutes. All natural. Gluten-free. Vegan/Vegetarian. Kitchen”
What it means: A marketing claim that the product contains nothing artificial.
Why TilliT doesn't verify it: The US FDA has no formal definition of "natural" for food and does not certify it, so there is no independent record for TilliT to check.
How to check it yourself: Read the full ingredient list — "natural" on the front says nothing binding.
Soy-Free
On the page: “Free L Lactose Free P Peanut Free S Soy Free TN Tree Nut Free (Inc. Tax)”
What it means: A free-from claim that the product contains no soy.
Why TilliT doesn't verify it: "Soy-free" is a label claim, usually self-declared — there is no single soy-free certifier. It is not one of TilliT's six badges.
How to check it yourself: Read the ingredient list and the "Contains" / "May contain" line.
A soy-allergic shopper should treat a self-declared "soy-free" claim as a starting point, not a guarantee — confirm the allergen statement and any shared-equipment note on the actual package.
TilliT also looked for non-gmo, fair trade claims. None appear on this product's page, so there was nothing to verify.

Supply chain & sourcing
Who makes and moves this product, and where it comes from, from public sources only. It's background context, not evidence for or against any badge claim.
Open Food Facts (a free, community-maintained product database — not a certifier or official registry) records, for one product listed under the brand 'DeLallo' (not matched by name to the assessed product — other products from this brand may differ): ingredient origin "Italy".
What this means: A community-maintained product database (anyone can edit it, and it is not audited) lists sourcing or origin details for this product. TilliT treats it as a lead worth showing, not as proof.
Open sourceThis product is made by 'George DeLallo Company' — the manufacturer / parent company on record, identified from public company records. (Recall history for this company, if any, is listed under the suppliers section below.)
What this means: Identifies the company that actually stands behind this product, so TilliT can check that company's certifications and recall history — not just the brand name on the label. It does not by itself say whether any badge claim is true.
'George Delallo Company, Inc.' is a registered legal entity in the Global Legal Entity Identifier (LEI) system, headquartered in Jeannette, US (status: ACTIVE).
What this means: Confirms the company behind this product is a real, currently-registered legal entity (not a shell or a dormant company) and shows where it is based — a basic legitimacy check on the seller. It is not a check of any badge claim.
Open sourceUS EPA facilities whose registered name matches 'George DeLallo Company' have 3 record(s) in the EPA's Enforcement and Compliance History Online (ECHO) database, including 1 inspection(s).
What this means: The manufacturer's facilities show up in the US EPA's environmental compliance database, with an inspection on record. Inspections are routine and are not enforcement actions; this is general company background and does not bear on any badge claim.
Open sourceNamed suppliers we could check
For each company named as a supplier — or identified in public records as the maker of this brand — TilliT checked the badge certifier directories and official recall databases. These findings are about that company — never a verdict on this product.
